"A Rainy Day in Lexington" - The painting is a scene in downtown Lexington, circa 1898. Included are the front steps of the old U.S. Custom House and Post Office that was located at Main and Walnut, with a harness shop next door. Figures in the scene include a mailman, lady and child, and newspaper boy approaching a couple. Similar to “A Rainy Day in Frankfort”, in the distance, is shown a horse and buggy. Due to its limited edition and importance, advance print orders are now being taken. Please contact South Hill Gallery to reserve your print for the March 15, 2008 release date.
